§ Materials
We keep the bill of materials short on purpose. Every component has to earn its place — and be replaceable when the shoe is repaired.
01
Tuscany, Italy
Tanned with chestnut and mimosa bark over 45 days. Develops patina rather than peeling. LWG Gold-rated tanneries only.
02
Sri Lanka
Tapped from the hevea tree, milled in small batches. Cushions like memory foam, biodegrades when it finally retires.
03
Portugal
Laces and linings woven from post-industrial cotton offcuts. Soft on day one, softer at year five.
04
Alentejo, Portugal
Harvested every nine years without felling the tree. Moulds to your foot in roughly two weeks of wear.
